Keyboarding Lab

In 1999, PCSD Tech Scouts pulled 27 Apple IIGS systems from a maintenance storeroom, tested them, cleaned them, and configured them for use in a new typing lab in room 217. They also moved desks out and into the maintenance storeroom and brought tables in.

These efforts have made it possible for us to move our typing classes from old manual typewriters to a lab, freeing up room 321 to become a general purpose computer lab for 7th and 8th graders, who have not had one until now. This lab will be connected to the library and the Internet, so that all 7th and 8th graders will have an opportunity to access the Internet for research projects, as well as make use computers for their other school projects.
